Wet Plate Collodion 4x5 Tank w/ Insert and Dipper Set
For your consideration: This is a new handmade Wet Plate Collodion 4x5 tank with insert and dipper. The tanks can be used for developing or fixing your plates after exposure. The insert is made of PVC-FF and will hold up to the chemicals used in wet plate photography. The insert is removable for cleaning. The dipper is used to agitate and hold the glass plate during processing. The outer tanks are
made of pine, and painted with black oil-based paint. Vintage wet plate tanks were painted black as well.
The lids are double hinged and have a draw catch on the front to keep the lids secure while your plates are being processed. The tanks can be inclined back; a hinged bracket holds the tanks secure. The tanks are handmade in America. Because the tanks are not assembly-line produced, no two are alike.  The glass dry rack is made of cherry wood, stained with Red Mahogany wood stain, and coated with polyurethane.  The dry rack will hold both 4x5 and 5x7 glass/metal plates.
